Title: advmame and neogeo roms.... not working...

I know...this must be a very stupid .

But i cant get neogeo roms to work in advmame-dos.

When i try to load the game it always give the msg that it can find some .BIN files.

Its not bios file is missing because i got that in same folder as roms!
THIS roms WORKS perfectly in windows mode in NeoRageX emulator...

What do you think??

You might be missing the neogeo.zip file, which contains the NeoGeo machine's BIOS.  If you do have that, then you need to get different ROMs.

Someone out there decided to dump the games as .rom as well as .bin files so you might have downloaded the .ROM versions instead of the .bin versions.  I've had that problem before.

I got .rom versions..
I need to get .bin versions..for what i see :|

This is bad..i already got all games in .rom version! :|

There is any program to convert  ??

I think ClrMamePro will do this, but I don't know how to use that program.

Can anyone here clarify this?

If you have roms for NeoRageX, they will probably not work in any recent MAME. You had to change some roms to work with old MAME versions, but after 0.80, you had to change them all. Most roms used by NeoRageX are bad dumps, console dumps, or both. Instead of using 3 apps (SMF's redump [IIRC], Logiqx's rombuild and Roman's ClrMamePro) to save some bits from a really outdated and worthless romset, I'd recommend finding the needed roms.  That's what I'd do, it will be easier and more comfortable.

I already have in my hdd all neogeo roms avaibable ..but for neorageX : :lame:
Do you know how i can change to work in advmame ?
Any software?

NeorageX was the emulator of choice "8 Years Ago".  It was replaced ages ago by much more accurate emulators such as Mame, Nebula, Final Burn, Kawaks etc. Most of the Neorage romsets are hacks and have been updated since. You may be able to find a conversion tool somewhere (try google) that will fix some of your roms but you'll never get them all working.
