A buddy of mine stopped by to tell me there was an arcade cab sitting next to the curb about four blocks away. I started not to go because of the heat (97 today) but im glad i did :)..... but i will bring someone with me next time (flippin heavy)
Once i got her home and had a cold one, then started looking over what i had and or didnt have. There were three boardsets mounted to the side of the cab and no power getting to them. So after about a half hour of getting no juice i looked up inside the cab where the on off switch would be. I was like it couldnt be, one of wires had come loose from the switch. I plugged it back in and all was well.
I have a working tekken 2 and a semi working mortal kombat pcb >:D

Wow. Where do you live? I want to relocate. ;)
-
The lady of the house probably cut the wire so she could reclaim the living room.
Congrats on the great score!

So you like, stole somebody's arcade machine while it was in front of their house? :P

That sounds almost exactly like my curb shopping find :) Back in the beginning of May during spring cleanup week, I found a NBA Jam 4 player acarde cab on the side of the road in excellent condition. Only thing wrong with it was a bad power supply. Replaced it, and it was up and running again :) Even the monitor was in great condition as it looked like it had been replaced recently with a new 27" monitor before they threw it out.
Great find on the MK cab though. Are you going to restore it or MAME it?

From what I hear, he want to the house and kicked their new puppy before he left, too!

Right...The guy just got back from an auction and went inside for a drink. When he came out it was gone. He walks back inside and says... I HATE this neighborhood!!! ;D
Congrats, it looks like a really nice cab.

Awesome!!! I love those big Midway-style cabs. I got a Williams High Impact Football in a Midway cab and I am building another cab just like it from scratch. I am making it a little deeper to accomodate an NEC 29" presentation monitor.

DUDE!! I just found a NOS paper clip. I believe it is the original prototype! I'll sell it for the bargain basement price of $16,999 . I mean, paperclips have made over a BILLION dollars.
