I've done a BYOAC search and Google'd it, but couldn't locate a good source for .wavs that could be used in MAMEWAH for startups, exits, etc.
I've collected a couple files here and there, but just looking for a consolidated source.
Is there a link or library of good wav files? for example: "War Games / Would you like to play a game?", HAL / 2001, "Berserk / Fight like a robot", Lost in Space / Danger Will Robinson, maybe some Nintendo sounds, even PinBall sounds (Poolchamp has a soundbyte, but I remeber what it says now, but I liked it), etc., etc......
I'd also like to find the SEGA soundbyte they used to play on the TV ads , "SEGA!!"
(I realize that some of these may be copyrighted, don't want to get into trouble)
Thanks! MPTech

That's a great question. If there isn't already one it seems like it would be a realtively simple project putting some together and starting a torrent.
Mamewah certainly wouldn't be the only way to make use of these though...

Try these:
http://www.digitpress.com/dpsoundz/soundfx.htm
http://www.meanrabbit.com/wavhtml/wavepage.htm
http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/sounds/sounds.html
Here's a cool site with Metal covers of VG music:
http://www.megadriver.com.br/sitev2.html
BTW - I'm looking for an mpeg of the MTV 'bumper'. The original one with the astronaut and MTV flag. Anyone have it?

I got several soundbytes off of them I was looking for (and a couple I hadn't considered).
Still looking for the War Games and SEGA! (Shout from the TV ad).
Definately worth the visit to anyone looking.

As for War Games, it's on the moviesounds.com site I listed.

Another one :P
This site has the Sega logo music from the Genesis games.

The whole site is great if you're looking for midi files.

Korg M1, I think ... maybe I'm wrong.
Some nice sounds for frontends: http://www.flashkit.com/index.shtml

M1 / Korg M1???
I don't understand. What is the reference here?
btw, Minwah, MAMEWAH is an ultimate cool tool!
The more I learn, the more I like it!
(while I have your attention, is there a way to design and review a layout via the layout designer? I've been modifying the layout, saving them, launching MAMEWAH, review the change, then shutting down MAMEWAH, rinse/repeat)
Thanks again!

MP,
Check out the 'Sound FX' section on the site that swindus posted.
Thanks Swindus!

Hmm not really...could use a preview option or something. There may well be some work done on the layout designer in the near future, so will bear it in mind ;)
