theres a guy selling a couple of these in my town. he's asking $70 OBO each. I am thinking maybe they'd be good for a jukebox project... what do you think?

That's a real good buy if the touchscreen surface is in good shape. If there are any extras I would definitely be interested. Let me know.

Ok so i got an email from this guy. he has 3 of them. they are the black models, but are missing the bases. supposedly in good shape. i just sent another email to him asking for more info on condition, etc.
Still wondering if they would be useful or not.
(and i'd be happy to pick up extras for anyone on the board if i do decide to get one.)

Even without the bases it would still be worth it as long as the touch surface is in good shape. I'd be interested in 2 of them depending on the condition.

I would be interested in something like this myself.
Here is my warning to you though, make sure the touchscreens have drivers, drivers that work on a modern os! Some older model touchscreen monitors became defunct when 95 came out as the vendors didn't make new "mouse" drivers. It happened again when 2k came out.
Some touchscreens can operate on the standard generic mouse driver, but some do not, so just watch out for it.
