Does anyone else wire like this?
-
Depends on what it is, and more importantly, how visible it will be.
The inside of my computer looks really nice through the window in the side.
The inside of my cabinets look like I tried to build a cargo net out of electrical wire.
I am very prone to marking the wires in most cases though, so that I don't have to trace them at a later date.

Which is funny - I originally saw your message with no image, and was like, ummmm... what? Only when I went to reply did I see you put a link to an image...

All the time ... I have a couple of projects with wiring that look just like that ... invisible!
;D
Cheers.

This is how I do my wiring

You laugh, but I once worked at a place that looked similar to that. There was literally a 2 foot deep pile of wires on the floor in front of the racks.
The sad part is, the racks were really nice Panduit ones with PLENTY of room to run the cabling. My boss and I stayed all night one night to re-wire everything, took us about 15 hours from start to finish.

Actually I pretty much never go there, I've had that pic for several years now. Most of my collection comes from college where every dorm was on the same network (omg, there was so much great stuff on that network), most of the rest comes from stuff others have posted on the couple of forums I read.
-
I updated the pic.. For some reason yahoo photos must change the url...
-
What a mess! I always go through at least 100 of the 4" wire ties and a dozen 1/2" nylon cable clamps when I do a conversion.

Im more concerned with someone using power cords for AC and a powerstrip.. Is this pro? forget the wire ties and wire routing.... Thats easy...

Make sure public access is enabled..... besides that Yahoo just sucks as a host.
Try imageshack or photobucket or something like that. Not the greatest either, but still free.
Or use the "Additional Options" below the box when you are posting to upload a pic as long as the size is small enough. (512kb) But you can post up to eight pics.
(just learned that one myself)
Your pics on your other thread are dead again also. ;)

someone needs to retake "Picture Uploading 101"

Thanks for the advanced options tip... I did not know you could put pictures on there server. I will go back and fix my messages.
Thanks again!

Or you could just upload them to the forum for free and never have a dead link...
Click the Additional Options... link on the posting page.

Isn't that a big no-no? using a computer power supply for a arcade board? I don't think the power supply will have the amps in 5v to keep up with that...

Often they're one and the same. Likely it'll be fine.

I saw Knievel's wiring and it was (to quote Bones) "sick". Nice CP Mccoy!
EDIT: Wait... that was *your* CP that got the comment. Yeah... you raised the bar for tidiness. Thanks a LOT. ::) ;D
