Title: control panel layout critique and trackball position question
Post by: dingorob on July 27, 2006, 04:07:01 pm
Please give me your thoughts about my control panel layout.

My main question is the trackball since I haven't played any trackball games yet.  Is it better to have the buttons above the trackball or below it? I would think below (as in my diagram) so your hand doesnt get in the way.. but ever example i've seen of others has the buttons above... which seems hard to get at.

My components are all X-arcade stuff, which I'll eventually replace with less clicky buttons.

Place the buttons behind the trackball, and maybe lover the trackball down a bit so your not so close to the screen on the follow through.  You mean to say you've never played golden tee?? You need to get some friends and some quarters and get to a bar

Thanks Blinky, I have swapped the trackball with the buttons so the trackball sits more lower on the control panel. More room to use without hitting the window.

Dear god plexy is taking forever to drill through with this forsner bit....
