Post by: arcadefever on July 22, 2006, 06:16:34 pm
:D i was finally able to score a cd-i system....

got it on ebay (a bit expensive  :? ) but the good thing is, it's in perfect condition AND IT AS THE GUN  :D

this system is from magnavox, a little more compact compare to the original phillips cd-i.

I'm not a cd-i collector, but I just wanted to say that I used to love the game 7th guest, except I played it on the pc.  Never did beat it, but I think I got pretty close, I think I made it a little ways past the labryinth in the basement.  Anyways, have fun, looks like you scored some nice games with it.

I play some of the games via emulator but we really cant discuss such a thing here.

There is a Zelda game as well as a BETA Mario game. Both are Ok but not incredible.

CD-i has a lot of great full motion video games.

Good system.

Well, actually there were 3 Zelda games released on the Cdi. There was also a Mario game released, and another in prototype form ( I assume this is the beta that Goz speaks of).

The zelda and mario games were not very good for the cd-i. The only one I played all the way through was link: faces of evil, the gameplay is a nightmare!!! I tried the wand of gamelon, the gameplay seemed the same, so I gave up on it. If you want a good game for cd-i, laser lords rocked!!! great rpg type game. The 3rd zelda game ,which I did not play, is zelda's adventure. You actually play as princess zelda looking for link. It is setup like the nes original. I heard the gameplay is equally terrible. So I wouldn't waste my money on this one if I were you.
