Title: Whats the distance between the floor and bottom of CP on a Cocktail?
Post by: rackoon on July 22, 2006, 05:52:06 pm
OK I am ready to cut my oak ply wood and want to be double sure Im doing this right.
My table is a little custom compared to a standard three sidded cocktail tabel because two of my sides are cut out like a T-shirt with sloping sides.  Its got some good looking curves.

The bottom of my CP is about 21.5" above the floor. I wont be able to get my legs under it unless I have a short chair.  And if I have a short chair I wont be able to see the 27" monitor I just bought.

What is the height of a standard pac man coocktail between the floor and the  bottom of the CP?

Oops sorry - I forgot about this thread...  anyway, the measurement from the floor to just underneath my CPs is 18-3/4"

Does your knees get under it? I got 21.5 and I cant get my knees under it. I am only 5' 10"
This isnt a problem with the vertical side of my cab because I sit at a angle at these things anyway. But the third horazontal side feels akward.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Well, it's a little uncomfortable because you can't straddle the thing like you can on the ends (I'm 6' 0").  It's not impossible to play, just not ideal.  I think for my next cocktail cab I'll skip the third CP...
