here's some parts i need:
2 4-way joys
encoder
avga(would add $$'s or other parts)
motherboard + cpu(i don't need 2ghz, just something to run the classics)
21" monitor(i guess you'd have to live pretty close to springfield, mo for this one)
williams and midway coin doors
what else you got?
or, make an offer.
i've also got other stuff for trade, buttons, wico 8 ways, full cabinets, project games, tons of stuff...
i'll try to get a pic up of the spinner later today.

An *original* Arkanoid spinner?
-
Where's the pic? I have an over/under coin door I could trade.
-
yes it is an original arakanoid spinner. the only pic i have is a crappy one but it will have to do. you can see the spinner in the cp sitting on top of this cab.

the coin door i'm in need of is an early williams door, the stainless type. the midway door i needed was the older type(found on pacs and sutch), but i happened to find one on a shelf that i had forgotten about.

I see you need a 21" monitor. I recommend you go to your local habitat for humanity restore. The one in my area has a room full of 19" - 21" monitors for roughly $40-$50 each. Luckily, you have a restore right in your city.

Are you going to use that coin box? I'm looking for one if you're not

yep, that is my current project and the reason i needed a midway style coin door. that assembly will be reinstalled once i'm done.

Does it work?
-
it spins decent and kinda has a burr sound to it like every other ark. spinner i've had. doesn't have near the spin time of a ball bearing spinner tho. the electonics are untested since i got the cab sans pcb. there's not much to go wrong with them tho, and if your looking to add it to a mame cab i'd recommend getting an encoder board and attatching it.
-
So it doesn't have an encoder board? That would have been nice to mention from the get-go...
EDIT: Upon re-reading, it appears you meant a computer interface for the spinner. Right?
-
it's a complete arkanoid spinner w/ it's original optics board. unless there's something about these that i don't know about, i doubt you'll just be able to hook it up to an optipac or mouse hack without installing a compatible optics board(or hacking the original optical sensor pcb).
here's andy's tutorial on how to build one:

ofcourse if your just wanting to hook it up to a arkanoid pcb you should be golden.

i just pulled the spinner out of the control panel and checked it over. spins pretty smoothly, the buzzing comes from the gears. it's the nature of the beast. i've played with half a dozen ark spinners, they all have that "feature".
looking at the optics board it seems pretty standard might hook right up to an optipac/mouse hack. i'll go over andy's schematics and see it it matches up.
i'll take $20+shipping for it.
here's a couple pics as promised:
