Title: Request for Help with ePSXe and MALA
Post by: Timoe on July 21, 2006, 01:46:29 pm
I'm having trouble setting up the Playstation emulator ePSXe in Mala.

ePSXe works just fine on its own.

All my other emus work just fine using UncleT file tree and set up suggestions.

I have selected the Emulator Presets for ePSXe

and I get the following error message:

* Error loading cdrombin [\"C:\Emulators\RomFiles\playstation\\Blaster_Master.sub\"]

Any suggestions?

Watz your address.? I have an old 20 GIG drive if you want it?

Ohhh I'll have a go then  at PSX then  :-)  ...when I get a rom to test it  :-)

* Error loading cdrombin [\"C:\Emulators\RomFiles\playstation\\Blaster_Master.sub\"
Could the two backslashes be the problem?

I'm not the one who put the two backslashes in.  That was done by the emulator presets in Mala.  I will try it though.

Edit:  It did not work

Ok between the two of us we will work it out via PM's

And if it tuns out that the MaLa Emu preset needs adjusting I will let Swindus know

Can you make a game run from a command prompt?

If not then a FE has no chance.

Once you get that happening we can set up MaLa quickly I'm sure :-)

Now I have a playstation game file I tested it and have it working very well.

It appears the MaLa 'command line' preset is not quite right for ePSXe ... (Too many back slashes). I will ask for that to be changed for a future version.

It should be:
-nogui -loadbin "%path%\%rom%.%ext%"
Not:
-nogui -loadbin \"%path%\\%rom%.%ext%\"

See attached Pics

Enjoy

Wow, that was easy.  It works.  Thank you loadman.

Now I just need to get Zinc going and maybe a game or three in Chankast and I'm set!

No Worries. FYI I used magicISO to convert 'Tony Hawk's PRO SKATER 2' in to a .bin to run from my hard drive

It seems you just need to use Howards Wrapper for Zinc
