Title: Need to find some wiring for a Nintendo Vs. Unisystem cab - Pics included.
Post by: 2PacMan on July 20, 2006, 09:58:06 am
I'm trying to restore a nintendo vs. cabinet from the ground up and basically started off with nothing.  I was able to get the wiring harness, but at the ends of the harness are all molex connectors.  The wiring connectors to the coin door, power supply, monitor audio/video are different types of connectors, little plastic black pin type connectors.  I need these intermediate wires that connect the wiring harness to the different areas of the game.  Picture #1 shows my current harness.  Picture #2 shows the audio/video monitor wires I need, as well as the connectors to the wiring harness.  Picture #3 shows where the connectors to the coin door and the wiring harness are different.  Picture #4 shows the connector to the power supply I need, and Picture #5 shows the wiring adaptors for the coin door that I need.   The monitor audio/video ones are the crucial ones, as i can probably hack the other ones.  But if anyone has recently trashed or converted a nintendo cab, chances are these are laying around.  According to the Vs. Unisystem manual, these are "donkey kong" type connectors...if that's any help.  If anyone has these cables, or know where i can get them, please let me know.  Thanks!

The reason you need the other connectors is because the cab was not originally a vs. cab. It's a conversion. The power supply you picture is the DK/Popeye type. I still have the conversion harness pulled from that type of cab. A dedicated vs. cab has a different power supply and molex connectors on the doors. The conversion has the little black connectors for use with the DK/Popeye type connectors. I also have a dedicated power supply as well.

email me and I'll get you hooked up with whatever you need to get it done.
