Title: Can I convert coin mechs that take tokens to accept quarters?
Post by: leapinlew on July 19, 2006, 11:47:31 pm
I have a coin door on my cab (I can take pictures if needed) and without even thinking I hooked the whole thing up before testing it. If I manually trigger the coin mechs it works properly, but if I put a quarter in it rejects them.

Can I do anything? Tape something open or remove something to allow a quarter to pass through to trigger a credit? If it involves too much I'll just leave it as is. It's not like anyone uses the coin door anyhow.

Thanks!

It really depends on what kind of coin mech it is.  For example, there are electronic ones (like UltiMarc sells) that can take any kind of coin, you just clip the coin you want it to take into the device.  So where did you get the mech?  Did it come from an old machine or did you order it?
