I'm using GameLauncher and MAME32p on my cabinet. I had to go to MAME32p for a couple of reasons, but now whenever I want to leave a game, i use my 'escape key', which is P1 then P2 to exit out of the game.
Since I started using this version, every time I want to leave a game I get that window that says "Are you sure you want to quit? Press the select button or cancel button to continue." The info screens when I load a game are gone, that's not a problem. Its just when I want to QUIT a game this happens.
I checked all of the ini files I could find in my folders and changed 'skip disclaimer', 'skip warning' entries to 1 so it would skip and it sill refuses to skip!
Am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I've never seen this dialog in Mame32. I'm not familiar with Mame32p or Gamelauncher for that matter. It could very well be GameLauncher's way of trying to get you to buy the full version. I know I'm going to sound like a broken record, but if you're using an FE already, you really don't need Mame32. You might want to look into using plain old Mame.

No, it's not Gamelauncher or front end thing, it's definitely a MAME thing.
You know how when you first run a game in MAME (even in DOS) you get a screen giving you information about the game, then maybe another that says "type OK if you own the game" etc etc. Well in some Windows versions of MAME when you hit escape to quit the game it will ask you "are you sure you want to quit? hit (whatever) to confirm or (whatever) to cancel."
The reason I want to use MAME32p is because it supports multiple BIOS which is nessecary for NeoGeo emulation and using the Universal BIOS.

Well that's the thing - I've never seen it. Must be unique to Mame32p. Maybe someone else will have better information for you. I've never had any problems playing games with different bios requirements in regular Mame, so I'll have to plead ignorance to your special situation.

Can you get the source files for it? You should be able to do a recompile that removes that message. Check here for a nice tutorial on compiling Mame:
Mr. Do Compile Guide (http://www.mameworld.net/mrdo/compile.html)
Depending on the version, the method of removing the screens may be different, so you may have to dig around a bit...

In mame32 click Options, Default Game Properties, Miscellaneous.
Uncheck "Confirm on exit".
You may have to close mame32 and restart it.
Hope that helped

@PileDriver
Well, I tried that and it's still doing the same thing. The box was checked, so I unchecked it - and no dice. Still getting the confirm on exit popup.
I guess maybe I need to try that recomile thing.
Is that an involved process, do I need to know much about programming? Because I don't know anything about it.

Looks like I finally pegged this sucker and am able to get past this. *whew*.

And the resolution was ...

I found a version of MAME32p called WOLFMAME and it finally worked.
I also think there was something wrong with my FE, which is (was) Gamelauncher. I would change things in MAME, but then when I would run GL and load a game, those changes wouldn't take, but if I ran the game straight through MAME, it worked. :lame:
So far it's working way better.
