Unfortunately that didn't work. The set screw is too short for the extractor to get a grip on it. Does the knob have to come off to change the microswitches on an LS-30? I assume it does. Maybe a machine shop could get that set screw out (which would probably carry a ridiculous price tag with it); but I can't; not without destroying the knob anyway. Very irritating...

I should. Let me know if that set screw just isn't going to come out at all and I'll dig around. I think I've got one or two of those in a box somewhere.

Yeah, that set screw is going nowhere any time soon. Let me know if you can find another LS-30. Most LS-30's don't even have set screws for the knob; only the very early ones do. The 2nd player LS-30 on that Dynamo cab is the more typical later version with the center cap and no set-screws.

Yup, found one. It's the later type, no set screws.

I'm going to have to bring the whole control panel down to you though because I have no idea how to get that stick out of there without being able to remove the knob, or even if it is possible for it to come out without removing the knob. It is a shame to destroy the knob on it to get the stick out of the CP but is there any other option?
Also, do you have a rotary switch wire harness to go with the LS-30 you found? The one that is already there can't be reused on the replacement stick because each wire is soldered directly to the pins on the rotary switch, instead of having a connector like the later LS-30's have.

Yup, the harness is already on it.
Sure, bring the whole panel. I'll get it off, in one piece or two..... or three, or four... :) It's a shame to wreck it, I know, but it's no good the way it is!
