Title: What router bit did this cut?
Post by: leapinlew on July 17, 2006, 08:45:14 pm
I was pointed to Bones cab to see how he did the routing around his trackball. I was curious if anyone knew if this was a 45 degree chamfer bit that made this?

I believe you're referring to the white area that's been routed.  The answer to that should be "yes, it was done with a chamfering bit" (although I think he may have used a 30o bit for that)

They make several different angles, obviously, and it'd benefit you to use a jigsaw (or circ saw) to determine what angle you'd prefer, then buy the bit that has the angle you want to achieve.
