Title: Nightmares and Dreamscapes: Help me understand Crouch End
Post by: bleemus on July 13, 2006, 01:15:34 pm
*possible spoilers ahead*

Watched it on TNT HD last night, and the first one with the army guys was pretty stupid...  but the second one I felt should be good, but I also thought was dumb, am I missing something?

Anyone watch this last night or read it that can explain why it is so scary?

I didn't understand the ending that much... the cat being the same name as the husband??  Did the druids change him into a cat in the other dimension or something?

Yeah, my brother wanted me to DVR the first one for him, so I ended up watching them both. I actually thought that the toy army guys one was pretty entertaining. That Crouch End one, though... That show was a total piece of garbage. I have honestly never seen such a poorly made tv show. They made absolutely no attempt to explain anything. It was insane. Frankly I have no clue why he turned into a cat. All I do know is that it sucked bad. I will go out on a limb and say that I would rather watch about 3 discs of my wifes Oprah collection than watch this piece of junk again.

Yeah, the army men story I will give kudos to because of the good cinematic work (no actual dialog, good effects).  Really, though, I thought the ending was lame, and it could've lasted about 20 minutes or less and had the same effect on me.

Ditto on the second one.  I have scoured the net for at least a couple hours and can't find anyone that can explain Crouch End.  Just a bunch of Stephen King fanboys that love everything he writes saying how great it was without actually saying why...

I have to say there isn't much from Stephen King that I have liked, in books or on those new fangled moving pictures.  I digress though... anyone else care to try to explain Crouch End to me (and horseboy?  :) )
