Well, this is really a two part question. I recently purchased from ebay a pair of Steel Gunner 2 Uzi guns

However, the enclosure to one of the guns is pretty damaged (and the other isn't in the best shape). So, first off, does anyone know where you can buy new enclosures for these guns? Thought technicaly a Namco gun, it has the exact same enclosure as Taitos Operation Thunderbolt. In fact, now that I'm looking at it, the Uzi actually says Taito on it.
So my second question is assuming I can't buy a new enclosure. I know people on this forum must have renovated plasic guns before. It there any good ways to fill the cracks and missing parts of the plastic? What sort of re-finishing do you recommend? Can you just spray paint the gun or will that look bad?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those guns would actually be really easy to fix/repair. I play airsoft and have modified many airsoft guns using similar methods to doing car autobody. You can glue them and fill the nicks cracks with bondo. Sand them with 800grit paper and respray them with krylon fusion and you will have new looking guns with minimal effort.

I think perhaps the guns you have ARE Operation Thunderbolt guns that have had decals applied to them as part of a conversion kit. The Steel Gunner on KLOV looks quite different. I prefer the look of the Uzi myself. :)

Well, when you're right, you're right. I assumed it wasn't a conversion because all of the pictures I found of a Steel Gunner 2 cabinet looked like it. However, after finding the conversion flyer linked below, it appears that I just can't find a non-conversion version of SG2. I guess I should assume it looks similar to Steel Gunner 1 with the funky laser gun things. Interesting. Either way, I'm just happy to have a pair of these. And, in fact, I like the game Operation Thunderbold better than Steel Gunner 2 (and I actually remember playing OT a lot in the arcade), so I too would really prefer it.
