just as the sub says i have a serial optipac and was wondering what i can do to adjust this so if i spin the ball faster it dosent flake out. like in world class bowling if i push it to fast it goes backwards then forward in a left angle?

Is that a condition of the optipac or the sensitivity being too high in mame?

Hi,

This is (almost definately) an issue to do with the trackball you are using, as well as sensitivity settings (and possibly mouse acceleration settings in windows if thats what you are using) - and not the optipac.

The trackball issue is based on the number of teeth/size of wheel on the encoder in you trackball. These vary quite a lot depending on what trackball you have.

You will almost definately be able to improve by changing settings.

However, if you wish to discuss with Andy, I would suggest posting on the Ultimarc specific board on mameworld here:

well im using a happs trackball 3" my settings in mame were at Factory mame settings and it is only when i push fast on the trackball it winds back before going.. im looking for the mouse acceleration disable as we speak as i have unchecked mouse precision and slowed the mouse way down but it is still doin the same thing
