Would it be possible to fabricate an lcd screen 4 or 6 inches right into the control pannel and have it display controls for the game ?

There is a thread on here doing something similar to that (just not on the CP).
But I can't seem to find it..... had something to do with running dual monitors, etc.
They had the game controls displaying on a seperate screen.
Found this one.. but not the one I was thinking of.

I saw one with a small full color tft type lcd somewhere. (gameboy screen I think)

I was thinking more lke displaying a cpviewer or johny5 type in the screen and that it stays there during the duration of the game play i think itd be nice to have a lil quick refrence built right in :)

Yeah, I know what ya mean.....just couldn't find the thread on the one that I was reading up on awhile back. Keep searching, I'm sure it's still around.

Yeah.... I was looking at that one again earlier..... that is just plain awesome.
But I could swear somebody did one with a small one and had it right below the main screen similar to the first one I posted about. :banghead:

One possible hack, would be to embed a color Palm Pilot in your CP. They're cheap, programmable and can communicate with a serial interface. Here is one Palm hack (http://palmorb.sourceforge.net/) that might be interesting.
