Title: Happ Coin Door "Enclosure" purpose
Post by: Boz on July 07, 2006, 04:40:10 am
My guess is that this is just a "cover" to hide the coin mechs -- a visual asthetic. Am I right? Do I ***NEED*** it to have the coin door work properly? Will I run into any trouble without it?

Thanks

Or a security measure .... how safe is your house ?   ;)

Cheers.

Hmmm... If I'd have just analyzed the picture a little longer I would have found my answer. Looks like the enclosure is for the cash drawer only.

Yeah, the metal enclosure hold the cash box.  Also provides a measure of security if you get the top door open, you can't reach down and get the cash.

Holy crap though...

That little box is almost half the cost of the coin door.  :o

Yeah... that's what I was thinking. I'm certain the sound of coins or tokens hitting the bottom of the cash drawer when there *is* an enclosure provides that all-too-familiar muffled "jingle". But I can probably make one out of ventilation ducting for a little cheaper.  :)

Oh that thing. That is so that the game OWNER would have the key to the cash box, but then the minimum wage guy who gives change and fixes stuck coin mechs can't access the cash.

That's what I figured... hence the TWO doors. right?

Yeah, but two doors are useless if you can just open the top and reach down into the money.  Hence, the enclosure.

Is there something magical that I am just not seeing about that thing though?

That price, for all that it appears to be, is IN-FREAKIN-SANE.

I know happ isn't exactly known for bargain pricing, but sheesh.

Well DUH! It's the *magical* coin-door-cash-box-enclosure. Can't you see the magic?

Here... Try these on.

I have that coin door with 2 slots, I also have that coin enclosure with the plastic tray.

You don't really need one but you do get that great sound when the coin falls into the box.......
