I didnt know what to search, I wanted to know if its possible to run a Mame loaded computer in a fully working/running Blitz cabinet. I was also going to try to add PCB boards to other un-emulated games like Gauntlet Legends, etc... is this possible??? to be able to run off the same monitor??
if it can be done, what parts do you need on-top of your straight mame computer in a cabinet parts?
Has anyone done this, I was hoping I could just flick a switch to switch back and forth.
I was going to have the control panel redone to keep the original set goiing straight to the Blitz board, and then add on to that control panel for the rest of my Mame controls going to their necessary encoders then to the Mame running computer.
any advice would be most helpful

It's a JAMMA cabinet, so the easiest way to do it is to get a JPAC from ultimarc to connect your mame machine to the cabinet, then when you want to switch from the mame computer to a jamma board game, open up the cab and disconnect the jamma cable from the JPAC and hook it up to the jamma arcade board.
As far as having it automated like with a switch, it's a little more difficult. You'll have to build a switching circuit to switch all the connections going to the JPAC in the mame computer over to the jamma arcade board. It can be done using CMOS multiplexor chips. I'm sure there are a few other ways to do it.
Russ's Mame Cabinet page has a great write up on it. I followed his guide for making my own circuit cause i wanted to do the same thing being able to switch from mame to jamma boards. You can find his page here:
