Wow to tnk what has happened to a lesser country has happened to NJ. the gov has been shutdown and they want to raise sales tax to 7% which is pretty lame.
thats the politicans answer to everything increase taxes so they can keep getting their benefits. all i can say is i hope we dont have to wait for time to take affect on our governor. hes old but still we need someone who isnt a politcian. someone neither democrate or republican. someone american.

I'm not defending the politicians, but the tax increase isn't for "their benefits." Our state has a more than $4billioin deficit. That would be there whether the person in office was Democrat or Republican.
People are going to be pissed that they shut down the casinos and lottery though. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Sounds like spending what you have instead of what you believe you'll make has some downside to it, eh? Mebbe you guys can scare up some cash by selling "naming rights" to the state, like they do with any new sports complex they build nowadays I can foresee NY buying that up quicklike. "NJ - it's not where we dump ALL our garbage!" :laugh2:
Mebbe Santoro can buy 'em up and use the naming rights to increase the token business and retire (to someplace other than Joisey :laugh2: ). "Santoro's Token Emporium - formerly known as NJ"

casinos sued or something and they dont have to close so for now atlantic city is business as usual.
yeah spending what we dont have and borrowing is the NJ way.

HUMAN garbage maybe.
NJ has been hauling a big chunk of their trash to PA for a long time now.

Yes, some goes the Waste Management landfill in Tullytown. People in Tullytown don't have to pay any taxes. Waste Management (and NJ) are paying them. Meanwhile, NJ is broke and still smells. ;)

Good for my former home state. Keep electing the same idiots, and billionaire democrat governors.
Florio raised sales tax to 7%. That got him thrown out.

How much were my property taxes?--- $11,000 per year.

My town has the lowest property tax rates in my county, and the average rates are still in the $3-4k range.

politicans are all domestic terrorists who need to be executed. they are traitors to our country.
yeah its lame they say something like portion goes towards the state and then we can vote on if we want property tax relief from the increase. this may be off a little but its what i remember (or think i do).
really when can i vote for politican relief.

I got occassional "relief checks" of about $250. bucks once a year :lame:
