I don't want to use plexiglass -
I would like to get a control panel cover that is self adhesive and either black or diamond plate pattern. If I could get some art - I could probably print up some vinyl from kinkos perhaps. Or maybe send it to mamemarquees to get it in polycarbonite.

Thanks - but he says in his description that "This overlay is thin and it's strongly recommended that you cover it with a protective plexi panel after applying on your control panel." he recommends plexi-glass.
I just checked out mamemarquees. They look reasonable - I'll probably go that route.
Thanks!

Yes, My e-bay auction for Diamond Plate is not for you. Go to mamemarquees.com. They can help you with the strong polycarbonate stuff that does not have to have a plexi cover. Although, it's recommended as overlays always peel or lift over time without a plexi cover, it's why most all real arcade games use plexi covers to protect against abuse.

I know that the price of most common metals is rising, but about how much did you pay? I've got prefab shops and custom truck box manufacturers that I deal with from time to time, and they often deal in aluminum diamond plate. In fact, if they've got enough on hand, for a simple plate that's not gargantuan, they'll often give them to us for free since we gotten so much business from us.
I don't know that I'd wanna use diamond plate for a control panel, but it looks really sweet as a kickplate.

it's not REAL diamond plate - it's polycarbonate or some other sticker type material.
