Hey Everyone,
Im starting my 'second' MAME cabinet. I will make it a replica of a Nintendo Vs. Unisystem cabinet, that my dad used to have lots of pictures of him playing with his friends in 1986-'88ish...which lead me to decide "Hey, I like mario, I like MAME, why not make a replica of Vs. Super Mario Bros. Cab...". Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. At 15 years old, I dont get much funding, so if I go slow on this, please no hard feelings if you care to begin with. I will post a list of things I need, and it would be nice if you would reply with where I could get them, etc. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this, and more thanks if you replied to the post. :blah:

There is a thread somewhere here in PA, but I am too tired to look for it right now. He has already faced much of what you are looking at, with excellent results - learn from him, young paduan. There is another Nintendo replica cab in PA as well, but I haven't had enough coffee yet. You should definitely search for it.
I have never seen just a unisystem CPO (and they're not the most attractive things ever), but controls panels pop up all the time on eBay -- check there before buying any sticks or buttons. There is someone making repro marquees -- search these forums and you'll find it -- I have one and it is great. The VS sideart is pretty boring, but does show up on eBay and RGVAC from time to time.
Cheers

I found and bought one original Nintenedo 8-way joystick from mikesarcade.com, but since it was an original, they only had one. I must go on an extensive journey through time to find an original..or I may just keep looking around. I also got an original Control Panel for it there too!.
JUST IN: (I modified this after I posted this)
I just purchased two brand new coin mechs for this thing. They are the original actual things, im in a good mood right now, and I got them from the company that used to sell them to Nintendo. Lots of mechs there. www.asusainc.com

Was it the KWM/740?
I need a new pair myself.
If you don't mind my asking, how much did they charge you for them?
Thanks

Yes, feel free to ask me any questions about building a Nintendo replica cab. I am having some difficulties right now on the final touches that you should avoid!
