Does farting on cloth covered office chairs ruin them? :laugh2:
-
Personally, I find it the most effective way to get rid of that offensive "new chair" smell.
-
I prefer "crop dusting". Why smell up your own stuff when you can smell up someone elses.
-
I find that it wards of unwanted guests sitting in your chair. Everytime you sit down you get a little wiff. You think to yourself.....Did I just fart? No, No, No, that was 4 hours ago. I can tell by the tartness of the odor.
It's kind of like marking your territory.
-
I always get a giggle from that release of built up odor that the next person gets to partake of...
They tend to make sounds that texually might be represented as:
WhaUH!
PuHHHT!
OhAH!
DAMN!
...and so on. :)
This is among the many reasons why I don't think I ever properly entered adulthood. I still find it amusing when I hear someone letting a hearty round of flatulence go in a restroom.
I need to get out more.
-
I usually only consider a cloth office chair ruined when the toxic cloud is actually visible when someone sits down.
-
I say always go for cloth and not leather. My cloth seat absorbs the smell so wonderfully. I have been farting on this same chair for over 2 years, ripping 1-2 at least an hour. While not ripping the fabric.
-
the best chairs are the ones with the thickest padding that squash down as the air is drawn out when you sit down. The "save some for later" effect gets a 9 rating on the stink-o-meter. Nothing like the "poof" effect as you or someone else sits down. Better known as the stinkbait chair. :applaud:

I used to have to swap out office chairs every couple of months because I'd load them down that way. Eventually the smell just stays and doesn't come out. After hours I'd swap with a chair from a conference room or someone in another part of the building.
Now I have a chair I bought myself so I made sure to get vinyl upholstery so that doesn't happen anymore. :laugh2:
-
hehe vinyl = easy cleanup. Although it does have a better "splat" sound. Hard plastic on the other hand can hurt, especially if it ricochets back at you. :P

At work I got two office chairs. One for me and one for the customers.
I used to have a little white label one the customer chair so I would never accidentally fart on that one but some asshat recently removed the label. And they all look the same. :-\
