Title: T-Molding

Hi,

I am just about to build my first cabinet and just wanted to know where is the best place to buy t-molding from in the UK. This is the only place I have found other than ebay, but they only sell it in black

It appears they ship internationally and they give you a good selection of colors/styles.

Yes I can and probably will, its just that shipping from the US can be expensive and take longer...And when I order something I want it yesterday

They say they have all the parts for arcade restoration, but I don't see t-molding. However, their website says more parts are coming, so I would contact them. If they don't have it, perhaps they can point you to another uk supplier?

IF you find it in any other color then black, you will probably pay more for it then ordering it with www.t-mold.com or www.t-molding.com, including shipping.

But if you DO find something, please let me know :)

EDIT: I just checked with www.t-molding.com, and shipping 20' is only $6,60 more expensive then shipping within the US. That's only about 3,5 UKP !

I found a UK seller on EBay but with shipping he wants 20 UKP for 20', that's about $35.

Not to hijack the thread, but I was checking out t-mold.com and t-molding.com and saw the Chrome T-Molding.  Ooooooooh.  Sparkly.  While it gets zero marks for acade authenticity, it's SPARKLY!  Has anybody actually played with this?  How well is it going to stand up to little toddler fingerprints?  Will the chrome finish come off after little fingernails pick and scratch for a couple of years?

The t-moulding is (was originally) meant to be a protective barrier for the cab. It would take the bumps and scrapes so the edge wouldn't. Now, our cabs see less abuse as they are in a home with people that love them. So now it is decorative. It may hold up as it is designed to be abused, but chrome (sparkly) is a specialty, so I can not speak to how deep the sparkly actually goes before it comes off. You could order a sample piece and run it through the mill and see how it holds up.

Is the DV related to video?
Is the Sparkly related to "The Secret of NIMH"?

There was an example recently utilising the chrome t-molding...
Sorry don't remember the exact post but it's in here somewhere...
