Me and a buddy scored a cab with this 27" in it. The guy we got if from gave up on his MAME project so we got the cab, parts, and this monitor.
Can anybody identify it by looking at it???
I have yet to find any markings on the neckboard or chassis as to its manufacturer or model. I have not taken the chassis off to look underneath it. That may be my next move if no one can ID it. The tube has a Philips label with A66EAK252X44 on it.
The guy said it was working for a while, then it just quit. I plugged it in and put a signal through it, all I got was a blue horizontal line across the middle of the screen. I found a cracked V-size pot on the little adjustment board but that's it. I would like to shotgun that pot but I have no idea what value it might be.
Any input would be apreciated...

WEIRD beastie.
On the back of the tube, those first few numbers: A66 regards the size of the tube. the number denotes the size in centimeters. 63 would be a 25", 68 would be 27". So...a 26" monitor?
Can you get a closer pic of the chassis?
-
Yes...WIERD indeed.
Here are some more pics.

is there a name on the component side of the neck card
-
None that I can see...sorry... :badmood:

I messed with the monitor a bit last night... I removed the broken V-size pot and replaced it with the V-center pot just to see if I could at least get the monitor working.
It worked!!! :applaud:
I measured the pot before I put it in there, looks like it is a 10K pot.
It has a VGA connection so I just plugged it into a spare PC. Looks like the monitor will do PC resolution of 640x480, tried 800x600 but went out of sync.
All the other adjustments worked fine and the quality of the picture is great. Now I just have to find a 10K pot for the V-Center. Still don't know what brand the monitor is ???

What all does it have as far as writing on the edge of the chassis, especially near the power input?

Might be able to cross some P/N type numbers.

Could this be a Pentranic or Makvision monitor? This one does not look like any monitor I have seen. Perhaps Jomac in Australia could identify it.

Hi, i have a monitor very similar and with the same number A66EAK252X44 !!!
My monitor is a SuperSquare made by Monivision!
I have some problem with resolutions! Do you have some driver for it?
Make me an answer please!
-
I believe my monitor only displays 640x480 resolution.
What kind of problems are you having with the resolutions?
I have used 640x480 resolution and it works.
But 800x600 does not work on mine...
I have tried lower resolutions (15KHz) using a tweaked ATI Radeon card and Powerstrip but they do not work either...
The monitor was given to me, so I do not have drivers for it. Sorry...

My monitor work fine with 640x480 (60 Hz -75Hz ) 800x600 (60Hz) 1088x612 (60 Hz) but with 1024x768 it is very tightened and i can't regulate! Can you help me?

I like that bracket/housing. Be nice to have that on other monitors, to simplify maneuvering, as well as, mounting.
