Title: Atari Emulators
Post by: RTSDaddy2 on June 21, 2006, 07:09:01 am
Of the three, Stella, PCAE, or Z26, which is the easiest to set up with I-PAC and Windows XP?  I've done my reading on here, but some of the programming stuff confuses me a bit.   Any suggestions / help?  Thanks ahead of time from a confused arcade junkie!   :dizzy:  (sorry, I just liked this little guy and had to find a reason to use him).

I didn't tried all.  But Stella seems good, it is the one used in the Atari 2600 Plug'n play module of AtomicFE.

I use a version of z26 that's been hacked to exit using the escape key http://www.emuchrist.org/cpviewer/downloads/z26ini.zip  I have been very happy with it.

Circo, appreciate the link...I'm having two problems, just to show you and everyone else how "thickheaded" I am.  1) I can't figure out how to get the .ini file your link is toward to unzip (or should I), and 2) I can't figure out how to get z26 to recognize .bin through itself or x26.

Ok - got the file unzipped, but I still cannot figure out how to get the front end x26 to recognize the roms I have.  Anyone? :)

The .ini file is for mamewah.  I have never used the x26 front-end so I can't help you there.
