Brand new ones have not been manufactured in 20 years. Used ones show up on ebay, but be prepared to get out the wallet!

The last one I saw was wg6100 series with burn-in that went for over $500 :(

Dang I might as well buy a Star Wars other fully functioning cab that has one in there. Man once I get a hold of one, I might just have to see if I can get a factory in China to reverse engineer the electronics and start a new business.  ::)

Was this one that you might just need repaired?
Or are you missing one and wanted to buy one?
Are you looking at buying a Stars Wars cab without one?

May be this info will get you somewhere also.
Because if it's just repairs......that might be possible.

Well I would love a dedicated Star Wars, but what I was wanting is to do a VectorMame machine. That would be soooooo cool.

This might be way off base an dof no help...... but google around for vector emulators.
I know I've seen something about them, but don't know much about it.

I wouldn't even attempt to mess with a true color vector monitor for that.
TOTALLY different signal inputs from what you are talking about.

I too would love to do a vector mame on an old vector color monitor. As Kevin said, the signal input is totally different, and most x/y monitors are not compatible with each other. They have different specs and run at different speeds. It's a little spendy, but probably worth it, but i think you could solve those problems by using a Zektor Vector Generator. I'm still saving up for one (and a color vector monitor, hehe). It was designed for use with mame and displaying true vector graphics on original vector monitors. They even have a pic of it running a vector arcade board on those old Vectrex home gaming systems. It's a tiny screen, but a lot cheaper than your standard vector arcade monitor. I think their webiste is zektor.com.  The card was also mentioned in the Project Arcade book too.
