I need a laptop for mostly work but would like to put a few games on it as well(nothing too taxing). It needs to be windows xp for the work programs and would like to keep it to $1200-$1300 range. I have been looking at cyberpower and Ibuypower adds and they seem to have decent machines. Are there other places I should look or buy from. Thanks for the info.

Really nice laptops.

apple does make nice computers, but expensive ones. You'll get a lot more for you money with a pc. ibuypower generally has good deals and dell often has really good discounts on their computers.

i bought my g/f a really nice one from gateway for about $1k. had all the features i was looking for. you might wanna just go to places like bestbuy or frys just to take a look at them. check online first to see if they have better deals.
