I picked up Time Crisis 3 with the guns this weekend at EB (thanks for the tip). Now I am asking the experts, what gun games are the "must haves"?
-
I just got the guncons too, and am looking for the same thing. This is a list I made after searching a bit online for Guncon games. I'm sure it's not 100% accurate, but it's a start. I also haven't played any of the games, so I have no clue if they are good or not. I just know they are GunCon compatible. Hope it helps.
- Dino Stalker
- NinjaAssault
- Endgame
- Vampire Night
- Time Crisis: Crisis Zone
- Time Crisis 2
- Time Crisis: Project Titan
- Resident Evil: Dead Aim
- Namco Gun Collection
- Starsky and Hutch (apparently guncon compatible in 2player mode!?!? I had no idea)

Project Titan was a PSX game not a PS2 game and it only works with the origonal GunCon not the GunCon2. Also the Gunvari Collection + Time Crisis never came out in the US. That is strictly an import game. Other than that your list is pretty much complete. Of course there are a good number of other light gun games that came out in Japan that never reached our shores but they tend to be pretty hard to find and are expensive to import so they probably aren't worth mentioning.
I'd would probably recomend Vampire Night and Time Crisis II as being the best light gun games other than Time Crisis III.

Honestly, Time Crisis 2+3 are the only games worth owning. The Gunvari Collection is worthwhile as well, but I have issues getting it to work with hdloader. As for the rest, I have all the games you listed except Starsky and Hutch. They suck. Vampire Night is slow and boring. House of the Dead 2 is much better. Endgame is a poor Time Crisis ripoff. I encountered game stopping bugs in it too. Resident Evil and Dino Stalker are not traditional lightgun games. Instead of being on a rail, you have to walk around. It is very hard to walk using the d-pad on the back of the gun, and shoot at the same time. It does make for some interesting 2 player though, (have one person control movement and the other use the gun to fire).

crisis zone was fun though you use a shield instead of stuff lieing around. didnt know it was on ps2 though.

i know its for ps1 but point blank 1-3 are some of my favorite lightgun games, there is a lethal enforcers port to ps1
worth building a lightgun cab just for those and time crisis....
