I was wondering if anyone has a C64 emulator setup running perfectly on their arcade, I ran into a couple issues when working with WinVice.
1. A lot of games need keyboard support, but when I will be using the emulator with my mame machine (I will be using MaLa) I won't really be able to use a keyboard at all...has anyone sucessfully worked around this, like by having a list of games that need no keyboard, or having common keys used mapped to their arcade buttons? If someone has a Arcade Machine Friendly list of games, I would greatly appreciate to see it.
2. I can get the Disks to autoload from the MaLa FE, but when I try to run a cartridge, WinVice tries to load it like a disk, and won't work. Is there a way to get cartridges to load from the frontend. Some of my favorite games were carts.
Thanks,
Vigo

I gave up trying to emulate the C16, 64 and 128 games since it was just a pain .... and the actual games were not that special to me anyway. Basically, way to much work for me.
I am just at the end of configuring the Commodore Amiga games .... which was tons of work to configure. I am almost done going through each game manually (2500+) to determine which ones are actually "cab-worthy" ... so far I only found 250+ ........yes ... a real pain.
I will be posting the game list for others to benefit when I am done .....

I have been running Winvice for a few years on my machine without any problems.
I use quick64 for mounting images.
There are alot of 64 games that only use the joystick....

I tried using quick64 just now. It works fine on disks, but it doesn't like cartridge files, it says: "File type not yet supported"

I heard that ccs64 wasn't free, but I think I was misinformed. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

At some point, I need to get a commodore emulator set up in my cabinet.
A few games I need to play again...
Archon
Boulder Dash (the C64 port is the best I've ever played)
Jumpman / Jumpman Jr.

Earlier this year, I helped a couple of guys on this forum set up winvice along with AutoHotKey, to accomplish the following goals:
1) remap ESC to exit the emulator, and a different key to be RUN/STOP
2) support "flip lists", so disks can be "swapped" with a single keypress
I tried searching for the thread just now, but got Internal Server Error from arcadecontrols server. Oh well.
I've been running winvice for years and I LOVE it. I suppose it exposes me for the old fart that I am, c64 was my old stomping ground.
In any event, winvice and mamewah can work REALLY well together, with a few tweaks from AutoHotKey. And, if you're using AutoHotKey, it shouldn't be too difficult to modify the AHK script so that winvice is workable without a dedicated keyboard. At least one would think so. YMMV.
If anyone here recalls the thread (was Feb 06 or something), a link posted here may be helpful. not sure why I can't search the forum right now.
DOH! And I told myself it would be safe to pop in here again, that I wouldn't get sucked in. Arrrggghhhh.

OK, found the old thread. Who needs a search feature when you can just flip through page after page after page?

Again, your question was slightly different, so this thread won't solve your problem as-is. But it should be more than enough to determine if it's a workable suite of software that CAN solve your problem. I still praise the day someone first mentioned AHK on here.

I use Vice but when I tried CCS64 I don't think it would go full screen automatically. I wrote a program that you run after CCS64.exe that will put it into full screen and remove the menu.
Rename fullscreen.png to fullscreen.exe
