Title: In game studdering in mame - is it something in my ini? Problem Solved!
Post by: leapinlew on June 10, 2006, 02:09:54 am
I'm running a custom compile version of mame to remove the video error messages. I am now experiencing some sort of hiccup that occurs every 25-30 seconds in game. I copied Mala and Mame off my computer and formatted the computer. The computer is a 2.53mhz Celeron with 512 memory running XP Pro (no service packs). I copied Mame and Mala back to the computer and now I have this hiccup. I am running in vertical mode.

Do you see anything that could be causing anything like this in my ini? My next step will be to copy the official version back on and see if it is my version of mame. Thanks for looking.

I'm building a couple of mame machines. On the second machine I loaded XP Pro SP2 and all seems to be fine. I took the original machine and reformatted it and this time used XP Pro with SP2 slipstreamed in. Works like it's supposed to.

It's a newer dell that came preloaded with SP2 to begin with. I did a format with a XP Pro disc that wasn't sp2.

It's all good.
