Title: Whats Value of PS2 with 40gb HD, Network Adaptor, Plus More
Post by: SteveJ34 on June 03, 2006, 07:24:59 pm
My son has moved on to an XBOX 360 and has decided he wants sell out his PS2 setup.

This unit has been well mainteined, includes HD, network adaptor, controllers, many accessories, and probably 10-12 games.

I've done a tad of searching on Ebay but dont seem to find many units with HD etc.

Granted, I dont have a complete game list put together yet, but what's a fair price for this lot?

And if someone is interested in purchasing this outright, please feel free to send PM.

you cant sell the games, legally, on the hhd.

So w/o the games I would say $120 to $160.  $160 being high.

Hercules, hercules, hercules  :applaud:  your method worked on this - stupidly long link - !! I could be wrong about the games, but it is just like selling back-ups.

He never said that the games were on the hard drive, or that they were rips/backups of games.  The official Sony hard drive that shipped with FF, so that's likely what he's talking about.  There is no need to jump on the piracy tangent the second someone mentions a hard drive.  He could be using it just for FF and not even have an exploit or HD Advance running.

Also, please learn to use the URL tags, that link is rediculously long, and it's so simple to fix

To the original poster -- it really depends on your games.  In general, you won't get more than $5-10 per game when you sell them in a bundle unless they're pretty new and/or very popular games.  You'll likely get over $200 on eBay depending on games, or at least close.

Yeah the link is long but you just have to click and it has what he said he could not find on ebay.

And second the key words were 'if the games are on the drive'

But it is not what I say, it will be what it sells for.  Good luck!!

I didn't mean to come off like a jerk, so if I did, sorry.  But I still think it's silly to jump on the piracy fight without any info.

You didn't say "IF" they are on the hard drive.  You just said you can't sell them on the hdd, which would imply they are ON the hard drive... which you don't know.

As for the link, I know you just need to click it.  My point was that it totally screws with the horizontal resolution of the browser and it makes threads really annoying to read.

no worries

and you are right, I hope he/she doesnt think I am calling them a bootleger, I was just saying if the games were on the drive, dont count them unless the originals come w/ it.

PS

SteveJ34, I hope I didnt take a turd in your cereal.  (ie your post)

I was just trying to help, so if you want me to delete my comments I will.  I just wish the best for you and hope you get what you are asking for the ps2.

One never knows what topic might "strike a nerve". ;)

For the record, the games I was referring to he/we have all the original disks for.

Anyone on these boards wanting to make a deal on this as a lot unit in the $200 price range?

Of course, I will put together a better list of the lot and even include pics if that might help make a sale so that I dont have to trouble with Ebay route.

Steve

I'll ask outright - Does the PS2 have a modchip in it?  Does the hard drive have HD Advance or HD Loader on it with the games already loaded on the drive?

No this system has no modchip nor to my knowledge does it have HD Loader.
