Title: WG 25k7191/25K791+ArcadeVGA scrn bottom curls
Post by: jerryjanis on March 05, 2003, 02:40:54 am
I was having trouble running some resolutions on the ArcadeVGA with my WG 25k7191 monitor, and there's a brief thread on the Ultimarc site that I saw that fixed my problem.

The problem was that the bottom of the screen would curl for some resolutions - 800x600, 640x288, and most vertical games wouldn't display correctly.

It really made my day to find out how to fix it (it's just one of the pots inside the monitor that needs adjusting), so I thought I'd post it here in case anybody else is having the same problem.

Thats awesome. I have the same monitor and will probably be getting Andy's card too soon. I actually did see that thread and was wondering what POT he was referring to. I have been looking online for a manual for this monitor but have been unsuccesful in finding one. If you can share where you found the POT it would be appreciated.

Hey also got a ?, are you using Windows? If so what are your experiences so far with finding a good frontend for MAME to use with the ArcadeVGA/WG Monitor combo?

On my monitor, there is a sheet stuck to the back that labels the different pots and what they are.   The one that did the trick was labelled "50-60khz" I believe.  If you want me to take a picture of it, I will (I would have posted one but I have to pull the monitor out of the cabinet to take it).

It is a white pot that needs a screwdriver to turn it.

I haven't gotten as far as frontends yet.  I'm using Mame32 and .bat files for now.  I'll get to that one day.
