I'm thinking about buying a arcade multysync monitor to play both low-res games and hi-res VGA games.
Problem is, i don't have a cab, and i'm not planning to buy one anytime soon.
I'm really lacking space and my doors aren't large enough to accept a cab :(
I'd like to know the risks of having such a monitor operating without a case.
I might as well wait for better CRT HD TVs to arrive in Europe, but those models are very rare. As of today, there is only one model that fills my needs (29" 4/3 screen):

Unfortunately, this model seems to suffer from a bad geometry (due to the 'SlimTV' tube) and i'm not sure the 100Hz Natural Scan can be disabled.
Thanks in advance for all your valuable advices

It is very dangerous to operate a monitor without a case. Anyone could touch AC or High Voltage on the monitor if it is not protected with some sort of cover.
Another danger is that the monitor tube could be destroyed as it is very delicate when exposed.
