Title: Mala qwestion....

Hello, i was just wondering its there a way that mala filters the mahong games not too show up? like an easy option , cus i try too use the filter option but it works the oposite, lets say that you want to filter vertical games, mala only shows vertical games.... do you get my point?

Not on the fly with the filter from the mala menu.

But there are two ways to remove these games permanently from the list:

1. Use the exclude parameter when collecting the games for the main game list

2. Use the function 'Remove by name content' in MalaGamelist to edit your gamelist

I will add a function to exclude by genre (catver.ini) information soon.

Hey, dont just add an option to "exclude" by genre ...... but it would be nice to generate gamelists to only "include" specific genre.     Say I wanted to create a Mame gamelist called "Shooter" to include shooter games only and then have one called "Driving" which would list only driving games ......   

Seems if you allow "excluding" from a list, then "including" would be easy as well....

Also, would there be a need for showing only 1-joystick games in a gamelist or multiple joystick gamelists only ..... not sure.   Guess you would need to use the controls.ini file for that part .... oh well .... not sure, just thought I would mention it ......

Including games by genre or player count or control type or .... does work already. Use the 'Add selection' function from MalaGamelist:
