Saw this on the KLOV forums:

He wants to part it out :'(
Hopefully someone here can save it...
-
what part of NY is he in? I could probably take it. find out...and i'll get in touch with him.
also...what's his email address?
-
Kaz is a member here (and is in Long Island). He put the whole cabinet up for sale on KLOV and RGVAC (IIRC) for $225 but nobody seems to want it (and is Japanese cab).
Here is the B/S/T thread selling the cabinet alone:

PM him.
Cheers

I had it for sale for a couple of weeks with no takers! Most of the parts are spoken for. The cabinet would make a great Mame for someone.
-
for sale where?? I didn't see it posted anywhere.
I'll take it if you want to keep it in one piece.

it really is a crime to destroy a classic like this one....and in the shape that it was in...!! :(
-
I think the crime is that nobody jumped on it at that price. And disassembly is not the same as destruction ... the parts went to save other SI machines.
It's not like he bolted the batwing onto a MsPac or anything ... >:D
Cheers.

that wasn't a ms pacman...
at least...it wasn't when I bought it....it was a Super Buster Brothers.
was it originally a ms pacman? because there was definitely evidence of being previously tampered with.
-
I am offering most of the machine for $60 and NOBODY WANTS IT!! All that is missing are the game boards, bezel and control panel. The game can be reassembled in no time by picking up three parts and NOBODY WANTS IT. I offered it for sale whole for $225 and NOBODY WANTED IT!! If it is such a sin to part out (which I agree with, by the way) then why does NOBODY WANT IT!! Did I mention that NOBODY WANTS IT!!

Now that I think about it, perhaps you are right.
It is hard to tell without a good profile shot, but the twin incandescents in the marquee makes me think original Pac or Galaxian. It is certainly an early-80s Midway cabinet (e.g. Pac, Galaxian, MsPac, Galaga, Bosconian) ... that coin door is a dead giveaway (at least to someone who as spent many hours trying to find replacement coin slots for a Midway door).
In any event, I was just messing with you -- I think that Kremmit sums it up well:
If it's already been converted to the point that the only thing that remains of the original is the shape of the wood, then the heck with it, unless it's a truly rare cab. I mean, there are a million Pac cabs out there that have been sanded down, painted black, and had the control panel drilled in 20 places, and the wiring and PS converted to JAMMA and a switcher.
Sorry to kaz for the threadjack ... somebody buy that cabinet! It would be a 20-hour roundtrip for me, otherwise I would have bought it complete and working for $225.
Cheers.

hmm...maybe I should trade this door to someone who wants an older part. I ordered the coin mechs from Peale...but they would probably fit on any door.

Coin mechs are pretty much universal, yeah. Unless there's a specific application.
