I'm considering getting this to cut that nasty ol' MDF....

Thats the saw I have and its worked great so far, at first I thought the laser was just a gimmick, but its actually very useful.

If you have a Lowes nearby, check them out on Friday's and Saturdays. They have clearances there all the time. I got my laser guided saw for $25 one day. 8) It is GMC brand. Not exactly DeWalt quality, but it works wonderfully.
If you are really strapped for cash, hit up rummage sales for some cheap tools. I have gotten nice drills at rummage sales for $1. (One day, I dream of finding a pinball machine at some ladies garage sale... ;D I can dream, can't I?)
