Anyone running a wells gardner with an arcade vga wanna send me your mame .ini and you .ini folder? I ran the mame res tool from minwah , then I tried the one from mr. benson with the little galaga res ship for an icon (avres) and I cannot get stuff to fit. If I get the horizontal games to fit the verts like pacman and mspac and galaga are to big. If I adjust the resolutions to make them fit the horizontal games are smushed and I have to adjust the vert size to expand to the correct size. does anyone have a tool that will make a list of .ini's that can take this into account? I set my windows res and frontend res to 640x288 and that looks great but it almost fits better at 640x480. either of the 2 will do. this is just the last step to finishing this cab. Must have games that fit!!
thx

The mame res tool should do it for you? You can test out the resolutions before you make the ini file. Sounds like it is not making the ini files or it is not using them? Is the monitor 15khz only?

its aplain jane arcade monitor. still in its mortal kombat housing ;)
I was using the res tool and had all of the horizontal games cool but then I was working on the pacman/galaga games and could not get any of the resolutions to get the game to fit. soI then tried the avres tool and that got the verts to ll fit but now the horizontals are squished.. Im sure someone with a wellsgardner style monitor has to be using a similar saet of ini's..
thx

further messin and reasing. Is there a ini or cfg file I point the res toll unto that will automatically adjust all of the ini's? cuz it still kina sounds like you have to go through all of the gamesand adjust them. Granted the tol can generate inis for multiple groups of games but I had tried every option in the drop downs for galaga and not a single one would fit. Ihad even adjusted the screen size to be sure it just was not an adjustment issue on the monitors part.
thx
