Title: Holy Cow! Top Spin 2 for Xbox360 is HARD!!

Top Spin for Xbox is great fun.  More options than Virtua Tennis, but keeps some of the arcade-style gameplay.

Top Spin 2 for Xbox360 is like a Tennis Simulator.  It is WAAAAAAAY to freaking hard to be fun.  Anybody got any tips to make this game more fun so I don't feel like I threw $40 down the drain?

I tried career mode and ran out of money for lessons and it won't let me play in any tournaments to make some money.  What am I doing wrong?

Dunno what to tell ya, since I didn't pick up the game after several 2K Sports dissapointments on 360. Even though you may have flushed $40, there is still a shining light ahead, since SEGA is gonna be releasing Virtua Tennis 3. ;)

I love Top Spin 2 on the xbox 360.

I would suggest you restart your career mode and do a couple of lessons before playing a tourney.  And when you play a game, only use the "green" button to make sure you shot stays in.  As using the spin shots will probably go out until you start increasing your spin and precision stats.

I'll do it.  Do you think I would be better off playing Top Spin on XBOX for awhile before trying Top Spin 2 again?

It will probably be in the arcade as well, but it is headed to both 360 and PS3.





It does look like it is about a year away though. :(

I played it at Dave and Busters in New York.  I only played one game, but it has the flavor of Virtua Tennis, albeit with better graphics.  I like both games but I have to give the edge to Virtua Tennis over Topspin.  I have not played the xbox 360 version of Topspin, so I can just copmare the Dreamcast Virtua Tennis to the Xbox Topspin.
