So I amlooking at seats now and I know I have a few options. First would be the local junk yard and try to find some sporty looking seats on the cheap. Then I looked at Happs for the arcade seats. Pricey. Then I looked on ebay and found these for $250. Still a bit pricey compared to the junk yard but they look nice.

Anyone have any other ideas?

do you need just one seat?
i think kragens has some cheap racer looking seats for a little over 100 bills.
i'd go that route and save the time and expense of going to the junk yard
and pulling on from a wrecked car.

If you don't want to get killed on shipping (and avoid some very suspiciously worded sale terms), try places like Summit or Jegs.
Here is just one example of the stuff they have, similar to what you're looking at:

Thanks for the link! They have some other options on that site as well. Great find.

Summit is a great source.
$20-$30 Plastic seats in red, black, yellow, or blue. (http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=400304+301738+115&autoview=sku)
Mounting brackets are more expensive than the seats. (http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?Ntt=racing+seat&N=4294925230+4294839019+115+4294922468&Ntk=KeywordSearch)
I haven't used those exact seats, but similar ones have a metal plate with threaded holes embedded in the bottom. If you don't need the adjuster, you *should* be able to bolt it down directly, with no mounting brackets. I've always had good luck with Summit by just calling them up and asking questions:
Phone #1-330-630-0240 9am - 9pm EST M-F.
You could call and ask what their cheapest adjustable mounting kit is that works with those seats. They have access to stuff that isn't in their catalog or website. Tell them what it's for and they'll hook you up.

I had a CAb pod in mind that would encase the player in blinking lights and arcade sounds, but I had to down size and work with a cocktail cab due to the fact that my wife lost her job. BUT, before that happened I was shopping for seats at JCWhitney.com they have tons of cheap racing seats.
You will find what you are looking for there at the price you are looking for.
Live long and prosper!

I went the Junkyard route, then bought a seat cover off of Ebay. Here is how it turned out.

I would like to have something like this however someday

For an driveing arcade game i would use plastic raceing seats like the ones GoPodular linked to for the authentic arcade look.
Unless you were going for something like this http://realvirtualcar.blogspot.com/ (http://realvirtualcar.blogspot.com/)

I think I am going with summit. I like the look and can't beat the price. Thanks for all the suggestions.
