ive been looking around the previous gundam titles in japan, (since they fly by so fast) and encountered a game with a simular title for PS2, and even has the same type of gameplay. so what is this a revised game for US that is just pushed to next gen? or a brand new game?
anyone know?

Which other game are you referring to?
As you yourself said, there are a ton of Gundam games out there,
you could make the case that they're all similar.
I wouldn't reccomend the one you posted the pic of unless
you were a serious fan of the original TV series/movie trilogy.
Lots of references to classic scenes and lines meant to appeal to the
hardcore fan but not much else.

well I am a big fan of MSG, 08th MS team series,0080, and a bit of G/Wing... i never really got into Seed or much of the others. the question i wanted to really have answered is if the one year war, for PS2 (JP) will end up being or close to the same as Mobile Op's: the one year war, for PS3/360(US).there both developed by namco, and i know in america we almost always have alternate names on titles, and a 2-3 year lapse on japanese realeases in america and this one just grabbed my attention.
and theres always the reason to go import on an old console i only have 6 games on, opposed to getting it for an expensive Next-gen.

The Gundam games for 360 and PS3 look like they both put you in control of a single robot in a 3D battlescape during the "One-year war", which HAS
been done before. The Namco co-developed PS2 game was sort of like that,
except that you're recreating the adventures of Amuro and his friends on White Base, doing pretty much the same things they did. The game hit the bargain bins in record time.
BTW, have you tried "Rise from the Ashes" for Dreamcast?
I think it's the best Gundam game so far, regardless of platform.

Thanks for the review, i guess i may have to go and buy a 360/PS3 along side Wii. as for the dreamcast ive actually almost won that in several ebay auctions over the years, but always end up losing the last bid. or goes too high. Always wanted to play it though.
