I'm currently building my first custom control panel and have bought some Omni-stiks from groovy game gear. (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=197)
I can't seem to find any mounting instructions for them anywhere. I was wondering if any of you have used these, or similar, joysticks and how you mounted them to your CP.
I'm using 3/4" MDF.
Cheers.

Do they not still come with a routing template? I think Randy had that available to download on his site somewhere, you might just want to PM him.

Unfortunately not, nothing but the joysticks were in the box. I emailed Randy about it and got some general instructions about routing out a recess in the underside of the panel. But I was hoping someone might have a more detailed method or even some pictures of how they mounted theirs.

You'll have to top-mount those sticks, routing a recess in the top of your MDF CP.
I believe Randy also sells a metal mounting plate for the Omni's, the type that comes on his Prodigy joy. That could be another option for you.

Ah, I use a prodigy, and was assuming the other stick also came with the mounting plate. The routing template was for flush mounting the stick that comes with the mounting plate.

I was thinking about getting the prodigy sticks, but couldn't justify the extra $20 per stick just to have the 4/8 way switch on the top of the panel.
Thanks for your help anyway guys, really appreciate it. Once I figure it out I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and post some kind of guide.
