Title: X-arcade selling games?
Post by: alexandro98 on May 20, 2006, 02:38:17 pm
Hi ya,

I was surfing around X-arcades site and came across the X-arcade Arcade machine,

link
http://www.xgaming.com/htm/cabinet.shtml

Nothing spectacular, However what caught my eye is that they include 190 games!?!!
With all the talk about legality of MAME, How is X-arcade doing this?
Im all for legal classic games we can use in our Cabs, just dont see how he did it.

I think it something called a license.........................  ;)

I guess they are doing it the same way PS2, DC, XBOX and any other system that sells classic games.

i think they just give you a bunch of compilation cds for XBOX, as that's the system that comes with it...

When I bought my X-arcade, what I got was a web address to their site which linked to a French EMU download site.  I didn't think X-arcade actually provides any games either physically or hosted on their site.

Yeah, I bought the panel too - all they tell you is to go emulate stuff yourself. But I think they include licensed games when you buy the cabinet to entise you since it's such a rip-off.

I've wondered how they are doing it also, as I can't image all of those companies wanting to sell rom images or simillar. Would love to hear from someone who has this collection to get their opinions. It's also VERY possible this topic has been talked to death, but this was on the front page so what the heck.
