I was watching the Jackie Chan movie City Hunter the other day and it has a long Street Fighter 2-derived comedy scene (reasonably funny, very goofy). Anyway the scene has a big ring of SF2 machines in these cabinets that are like sliced-off elliptical rods. Anyone know if this was a real SF2 cabinet or were they just mockups for the movie? Under any circumstances, it's an interesting design.
I was always pretty intrigued by the round table cabinet of Comotion, too.

Heh not as elliptical as I remembered but still pretty unique!

dont know if they were actual working cabinets, but not the original cabinets designed for SF. There actually wasnt an original SF cabinet, just used the DYnamo Cut-Away cabs.

I'm sure the standard Dynamo cab was more of an america thing, but I also don't believe that that was any sort of dedicated japanese cab.
Funny fact about that scene. Jackie Chan is a spokesman for Mitsubishi, and as such he can't drive non Mitsu cars in his movies. That means you only see Ryo's Mini in one scene, and they changed E.Honda's name to E.Honde! Look closely when Jackie is slumped against the SF2 machine as it selects a fighter!
