Title: Need help with character art - anyone for hire?
Post by: fiscap on May 17, 2006, 01:57:18 am
I'm looking to hire someone to assist with some character design work to finish my marquee. I'm primarily interested in classic characters - i.e. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Q*bert, etc.

If you've got skills in this area and are for hire, let me know and I'll fill you in on the details of what I'm looking for.

Are you looking to use existing characters in new poses or are you looking for something completely unique?

I'm looking for existing characters in new poses. I've spoken with SNAAKE about this in PM and he indicated that I need someone with freehand skills to create the characters. I've got someone at work who may be able to do the freehand on paper so that it can be scanned into raster form and then vectorized after that. Not sure if he is available or willing to do the work at this point though.

I've got Illustrator and Freehand experience. I'll drop you a line.

If you can get the characters done at, say, 300 to 600 dpi, thene you won't need to convert them to vector format, and you can skip an unneccessary and lengthy step.

So what's the pay for the Job?
