I was hoping someone out there could help ID this classic cab.
There was no marquee or control panel.
I had just enough video showing (graphic errors) to make out the game name that was still in it - Battle of Atlantis. (then it died)
I'm pretty certain this wasn't the "Original" game though by looking at the side art and front bezel. (the bezel actually wraps partially up into the back of the cab, one piece)
The PCB appears to be of the Galaxian variety with a modified power supply section, etc.
There is a daughter board setup that has the rom set on it. I assume this could then be swapped out with others.
I'm certain this thing is form the Galaxian/Moon Cresta/etc...era. early 80's
Anyways..... if anybody has any ideas... I'm up for suggestions on what it was originally.
I have since built a control panel for it and put Time Pilot in it at the moment.
But was still curious on the original game for it.
(please excuse the poor quality pics)

Here's info on Battle of Atlantis, a hack of Scramble. I don't know anything about the cab.

Gameplay DEFINEATELY reminds me of Scramble...... but now I'm certain Battle of Atlantis was just a rom swap game and not on it's OWN hardware.
Battle of Atlantis is the only game made by - Comsoft/Game World - 1981
(that I could find)
Thanks for the mame info. It's all useful information.
I'll keep digging......... :-\

According to KLOV, it was an original game made to COMPETE with Scramble, not a hack of it.

Mullins, are you in America or Europe? That makes a difference with cab identification.
Your cab is shaped kinda like a Sega/Gremlin classic cab, but you didn't show us the bottom, so I can't tell for sure. I thought it could be Centuri, but your top part where the marquee front is, doesn't look as tall as a Centuri cab. I did find your bezel though:
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10293
Your bezel matches the bezel on this Vanguard (2nd photo-ignore that tall weird black one, I don't know why they accepted that photo). But your side-art does not match the side art on Klov's entry.
So either that is the wrong bezel for Vanguard, or the wrong side-art. OH look, another Vanguard here: http://www.ggdb.com/Picture.aspx?c=Coin-Op&s=Arcade&vid=3279&p=7572
Different bezel. So the mystery continues!
You may have some luck posting on RGVAC

I'm in America . . . now where this machine came from is still a mystery. :laugh2:
But maybe there's a chance it is a version of something from somewhere else. (??)
When I got this cab I looked into it a little and found that Vanguard pic on KLOV and thought I was onto something. As that bezel on the one pictured was indeed the same..... sorta.
It doesn't run up the back of the cab like mine, which is all one piece shaped to fit. That Vanguard only had part of it showing for some reason. So it seems kinda out of place.
Also, and more importantly, the second Vanguard pic you have is the version of Vanguard found "everywhere". This is the one I believe has the right bezel for a Vanguard cab.
Anyways, my particular cabinet actually appears to be closer in design and build to the Sega/Gremlin and Gremlin cabinets.
Much, much closer than the Centuri cab.
So I would have to agree with ya on the fact that it might be one of theirs.
As seen here:

Astro Blaster - http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6943 (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6943)
Frogger - http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=F&game_id=7857 (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=F&game_id=7857)
(wood grained, but design wise it's similar)
And MAME had a good cab shot of a white sided Carnival that was real close.
Now none of that gets me very much closer to a "title" on this one though.
Be my luck it's one with no pick available....hahahaha....not funny. >:(
I will say that this is the right bezel for "this" cab.
And the side art is sreen printed right to the white sides. (no decals of any kind)
So I know the side art is correct as well to this cab.
BUT..... the "artwork" is still VERY "similar" in design to the Vanguard.
I posted this same question on Twin Galaxies so we're still tossing around that idea as well. If anyone cares to check that conversation out

That is a generic Korean cab that were popular in the early 80's and
mostly contained bootleg games like DOnkey Kong and Ms Pac.
