Title: game previews in mamewah, help

allright im tying to get game previews up and running in mamewah and its startin to bug me. Ive followed the mamemovie maker thread http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,29661.0.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,29661.0.html) as best as i can but have not yet had any luck. Can anyone help me with a step by step tutorial or sumthin to make it a lil easier.

Also wat ive done so far from the thread is ive downloaded the visualdub and buddamame programs, created the .bat files as best as i could (most likley ive done sumthin wrong in them) i then put them in my main mame folder. From there i havnt a clue of wat to do, please help.

Are you trying to create the movies, or do you already have the movies created, and are trying to get it working in Mamewah.

You may want to stick with this threa here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=45467.0) if you are having difficulties creating your own. It looks like a pretty involved process.

Once you have the movies, here is how to get them working in Mamewah. I will be adding this shortly to the Mamewah wiki (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Mamewah).

First, make sure that you have added the movie_preview_path in your emulator .ini file with the directory to the previews. It should look something like:

movie_preview_path  C:\mame\movies

Also in the .ini you need to specify a movie_artwork_no. This is the artwork number in the layout where the movie will play. Make sure that the artwork number you specify is visible in your layout, or you won't see the movie.

Awsome got it workin, downloaded that pack and was exactly wat i was lookin for, cheers.

But one thing i noticed that there wa no sound being played along with the previews, so is it possible to turn these previews on? Or isnt this possible wen previewing them in a frontend?

look at the Movie Options for mamewah.ini in the wiki (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Mamewah_Ini#Movie_Options). The music_movie_mix by default is mute_movies. Change it to merge or pause_music and you should be good.
