From what I have seen on here the best way to mount the PacMan/Galage reunion stick in 3/4 wood is to mount it from the top and route the area for the mounting plate so it fits flush. Is this the same for the p360? My other question is if one of the joysticks break I guess I have to take off the control panel overlay then correct? Also will you be able to feel any part of the mounting plate using this overlay from parts express

Mount the P360 from underneath. It's handles are long enough for wood. You can also get a longer shaft for the Reunion Stick from TORNADO TERRY (http://www.tornadoterrys.com) so that you can mount the reunion stick from Underneath. His e-mail is: E-mail Link (tershan@1scom.net)
He is also having custom balltops made for the shafts in multiple colors. All you have to do is screw on the balltop in the color of your choice.

Thanks Mark, I emailed him so I will wait to see what he says. How would you suggest me mounting the sticks? What size hole should I drill for the shaft and how much if any should I route out for the for the mounting plate/joystick to fit in for both the p360 and the reunion stick.
Thanks

1-1/8" center hole should be fine, but go 1-1/4" if you want to be extra safe. I would mount those underneath with no routing. That's how I've got my P360s and Competitions mounted. Some of it is personal preference.
The best suggestion I could make is for you to contstruct a small stand-along test panel. Mount one joystick with no routing, and then mount the other one with 3/16 to 1/4" of material routed out (assuming you are using 3/4" material). Play both of them and see which one is more comfortable.

thanks Mark, you have been a great help. One last question, dust washer on top or underneath??
Thanks

Top. Hides the hole and looks better IMHO.

yeah, thats what I was thinking

With 3/4" wood, the dustwasher on top looks best. If it were metal, I'd say put it underneath.

thanks guys for all the great help/advice. I should be able to get the control panels assembled on Thursday. I can't wait.
